Zion
This past weekend Heather and I drove down to Zion National Park on Friday with my dad and brother Clark. We left right after work and set up camp about 10:30 at night.
We woke up Saturday morning at 6, packed up camp and drove to the trail head. We we going to try and find Crawford Arch, a huge beautiful arch, but there was one difficulty, there is no trail. We had a topo map, a GPS, directions from someone who had supposedly been there before, so we figured we were good to go and we took off. We hiked and hiked and climbed and climbed but it turned out that the directions weren't very good, and the GPS helped but the coordinates that we had were spaced out pretty far apart so it was hard to know how to get to the next one. We ended up never finding the arch, but we will try again and we will find it some day. Although we were disappointed and sad about not finding the arch, we did have some fun and saw some cool things, like a hanging cactus, it was growing down, hanging off a little cliff, crazy.
When we decided we didn't have enough time left in the day to continue our search for the arch we went to a pool we knew of and jumped off rocks and had a swim, it felt nice to cool off from the hot weather.
After our swim we drove to Bryce Canyon and my mom and sisters met us there. Sunday we walked around Bryce a bit and hiked a big loop and took lots of pictures.

Happy 1 Year Anniversary!
It's a little late, by a week, but still, it's something to take a moment and celebrate. Josh and I have officially been married for 1 year as if May 1. Hooray! May 1, 2008 was a momentous occasion. We woke up to snow on the ground, but the sun was kind enough to come out for all the pictures. The marriage ceremony was beautiful, my best friend became my husband forever, and it was great to see so many friends and family. And then we got to take a week long vacation together to begin our incredible new life together.
Marriage has brought a lot of joy and adventures. Every day is an exciting new adventure that is something to look forward to because every day I get to experience something new with Josh. I love him. I love him more than I know how to say. He is the most perfect husband a woman could ask for. He's thoughful, patient, kind, loving, sweet, amazing, manly, and just incredibly fun to be with! I couldn't ask for more in a husband. He is my best friend. So here's to marriage, and a great one at that! I am looking forward to the long eternities of experiences that we get to have together in both this life and the next. I love you Josh! Happy Anniversary!
